I visited the GCR on Sunday 23rd May 2021 on the basis that I should stay for as long as the weather remained suitable. Fortunately this turned out to be all day. It was only the second day this year that a two steam locomotive timetable was in operation which included also the traditional dining car express. Perhaps Roger's J94 and the Ivatt Class 2 were not the bigest draw from the locomotive pool but both were turned out well and ran without apparent problems.
