This 0-6-0ST was built originally to the design of William Barton Wright by Beyer Peacock at their Gorton Works in the form of a 0-6-0 tender locomotive as long ago as May 1888. In April 1896 she was rebuilt into the present form on the instruction of J.A.F. Aspinall. 51456 was hauling the 09:10 local service from Bury to Ramsbottom on Sunday 17th October 2021.
