"The Moors and Dales Express" was a four day tour organised by The Cathedrals Express company. It returned, steam hauled, from Scarborough with 46233 DUCHESS OF SUTHERLAND wearing a livery variation involving diagonal yellow stripes on the cab-sides and the later heraldic crest on the tender. The photographs show her at Barton-le-Willows, Bolton Percy, Haxey L.C. and south of Branston, Lincs.
