This photograph shows 6233 DUCHESS OF SUTHERLAND running about fifteen minutes late with "The Christmas White Rose" excursion when it passed the site of Hathern Station on the down slow line on Wednesday 15th December 2021. My plan was to photograph both this train and the other that was also heading to York but from North Wales where to two routes converged at Masborough (Rotherham).
