"The York Yuletide Express" from Ealing Broadway to York and return on Saturday 16th December 2016 was routed via the ex-Midland lines in both directions. The run north was hauled by 46100 ROYAL SCOT through Melton Mowbray but when heading south the train passed through Market Harborough which is quite unusual. The up train was hauled by 60009 UNION OF SOUTH AFRICA.
