West Coast Railways Class 47 diesel electric 47 826 passes through the former station at Cumwhinton hauling 1Z87, "The Cumbrian Mountain Express", on Saturday 23rd February 2019. Apparently the booked steam locomotive, 35018 BRITISH INDIA LINE, failed its fitness to run examination and had to be replaced by the diesel.
