Fowler Class 3F 0-6-0T 47406 drifts down the incline towards Loughborough with the 14:50 from Leicester North on Thursday 5th April 2018. This photograph was taken using the Linhof Technikardan S23 with the Symmar-S 150 mm lens and Phase One P21 back. I used 2.0 deg back swing and 7.5 mm of front rise. It illustrates one of the potential pitfalls of using a classic view camera. With no viewfinder you must predetermine where you intend to fire the shutter. In this case it was just before the rail joints in the left foreground. Panic set in and I released the shutter too soon. Of course I could crop but that defeats the objective!
