I don't know whether I was lucky or foolish to take this shot. It was almost dark when 45699 GALATEA left its Appleby water stop. Almost simultaneously I heard the sound of a freight approaching in the other direction. The resulting small window of opportunity gives this record. Black and White film (HP5+) handled the under-exposure better than colour negative material (Portra 400).
