Sunday 10th January 2016 was a day of almost wall to wall bright sunshine. Although the GCR January timetable is rather disappointing this was the first opportunity to see the newly restored to traffic 6990 WITHERSLACK HALL in ordinary service. Unexpectedly it may also have been the last occasion for a while that Metroplitan Cammell DMC E50321 has formed the south end of the DMU set.
