The weather forecast suggested that Sunday 13th June 2021 should be the sunniest and warmest day of the year so far. It was certainly hot but late morning clouds developed that persisted throughout the afternoon; sometimes covering the sun then clear at other times perhaps only seconds later. It made manual exposure assessment most difficult, especially when half the scene is brightly illuminated and the other half is in deep shadow. That, however, is the challenge that this hobby presents and you can't always get it right.
