We arrived at Tan-y-Bwlch Station in time for a coffee and a cake before the Woodland Wayfarer was due to leave. This was the first working day after the Welsh Government had imposed a blanket 20 MPH speed limit on almost all built up areas. It was difficult to predict whether it would be possible to photograph the train leaving Tan-y-Bwlch and arriving in Minffordd. The 20 MPH limit through Penrhyndeudraeth seemed to make no significant difference – it was always slow progress.
