New Years Day 2022 began much as New Years Eve 2021 had ended with yet another visit to the GCR. The service was the same also with Class 9F 2-10-0 92214 powering the second fourth and sixth departures from Loughborough and the blue DMU set running the other services. The buzz at the lineside was all about the following day that was to feature the Deltic diesel hauling the same rake of eight passenger coaches.
