I had planned originally to photograph A4 pacific 60007 SIR NIGEL GRESLEY at three locations as it headed north from London to Chester. However, family arrangements meant that I had jobs to be done at home early so I could only see it twice. The booked diesel for the return leg, D213, was unavailable so the need to return home by mid-afternoon was not an issue. The train was running close to right time and weather conditions were good.
