The time when "The Cotswold Venturer" was in Worcester provided an opportunity to visit Hales Abbey on the GWSR. Conditions were quite good and the two steam locomotives in action were the most recent to emerge from overhaul. For me, the Class 117 DMU was pure nostalgia after commuting into Paddington in the early 70s.
