My attendance at the Great Central Railway Diesel Gala was made complicated by the awkward job of replacing the auxiliary drive belt on the Rover 75's engine. Access is not easy when you reach your 70s. My photos are therefore restricted to the period from 14:00 to 17:30 on Sunday 10th September 2017. Fortunately neither guest, Hymek D7017 and Crompton D5343, was significantly affected by home fleet non-availability issues. In fact both guests were seen working through return trips between Loughborough and Leicester North only.
