During daylight hours on Sunday 31st December, New Year’s Eve, 2023 the GCR operated a very basic passenger service. I was late arriving and just missed the second up departure at Quorn due to shopping commitments. The weather got slowly worse as the day progressed, so I didn’t remain very long either. But, at least, it blew away a few cob-webs from 2023.
