Sunday 3rd June 2018 was the third day of The Great Central Railway 1940's Weekend. The weather was fine and dry and three steam locomotives were running to an essentially 45 min interval timetable with DMU shuttles interwoven throughout the day. Time keeping became rather erratic with trains held at Quorn for long periods probably waiting for various events to occur. It was most encouraging to see eight coach formations loaded almost to capacity on many services. The four coach DMU was almost full also on several trips.
