Sunday 24th March 2024 was yet another opportunity to visit the Great Central Railway and take a few photographs. The expectation was that there should be both locally based Standard 2sand a DMU working the usual Winter Timetable. This is the most obvious way for the railway to maintain its service although the DMU does seem to burn an excessive quantity of lubricating oil judging by the exhaust smoke produced. Everything ran close to right time and the weather held-up to create a very satisfactory day out.
