It seemed to be a long time since I had visited the Great Central on a Saturday. On 31st July 2021 there was nothing on the main line to tempt me so I went over to the GC as I knew that I should not be able to make my customary Sunday vist on August 1st. The steam locomotives were 45305 and 92214 but the diesel was D8098 which ranks only just above the DMU in my opinion. However it gave more variety to 'Spice my Life' as the saying goes.
