Woodthorpe Lane bridge is one of the few public access points where it is possible to photograph a down train in the afternoon. Ivatt Class 2MT 2-6-0 46521 was hauling the Saturday dining car express towards Loughborough on Saturday 12th March 2022. On this occasion it didn’t carry “The South Yorkshireman” headboard.
