On Sunday 9th February 2014 the usual Diesel Multiple Unit was replaced by Birmingham RC&W Type 2 (Class 27) locomotive 5401 hauling a pair of inspection saloons. The train is seen rounding the curve past Rushey Fields towards Bridge No.345 with the 11:00 departure from Loughborough. The DMU had failed when hauling the first run on the previous day.
