48095 was a Stanier 8F 2-8-0 that was withdrawn and scrapped many years ago. It was the last of an order from Vulcan Foundry completed in 1937. The engine was allocated to Woodford Halse and saw service on the old GC. It was recreated for a mini-gala on the preserved GCR by re-numbering Ashford built 48624.
