Our main visit to The Welsh Highland Railway involved travelling the length of the line in both directions on Thursday 7th September 2017. However we had ample opportunity to observe and photograph the train while we were in Porthmadog during our Festiniog travels on the previous day. Over two days we were fortunate to see the three Garratts, Nos. 87, 138 & 143 in operation.
