The Christmas Cheshireman Railtour on Saturday 19th November 2022 was an out and back journey from Bristol to Chester with a reasonable stop-over in Chester promoted by Railway Touring Company. It was hauled on the out-ward stage by double chimney Stanier Jubilee 4-6-0 45596 BAHAMAS with return leg taken by Princess Coronation 4-6-2 6233 DUCHESS OF SUTHERLAND. From a photography point of view, I had planned four locations where I hoped to capture the train but only two locations yielded satisfactory pictures. I did see evidence, mostly steam in the distance, at the other two locations but no photographs were obtained. Bad planning on my part was the obvious conclusion with no mitigation I have to confess. Must do better in the future!
