I realised from times published on the internet that there was some uncertainty about where the steam locomotive would take water. However, now that the GW main line has been electrified, I decided to visit my old favourite location just before Standish Junction. The first down train I saw was 800 017 working 1G07, the 08:28 London Paddington to Cheltenham, on Saturday 18th June 2022.
