I thought that there would be insufficient light to photograph the 15:30 from Shackerstone on Wednesday 30th December 2020. I decided however to explore the possibility of a silhouette as the train passed over the embankment on the approach to Shenton Station. I could not gain access to a suitable position to the east of the line and resigned myself to watching the train from the west. The sun was just on the horizon when DMBSs M55005 and M51131 passed slowly along the embankment lit by glorious winter sunlight.
