Saturday 1st December 2018 was the first day of the full Santa Train operation on the Great Central Railway. The weather was poor throughout, but with no sensible main line trains accessible, I thought it worth the risk and that it might improve as the day progressed. It was not to be but there were unexpected events to compensate.
