This train, the nominal 12:35 ‘Santa Special’ from Loughborough, was noted as extremely late when it emerged from Buddon Wood on Saturday 17th December 2022. At the time when I took this photograph and the next one, I was concentrating on the position of Birmingham RC&W Type 3 Bo-Bo diesel electric D6535 relative to the lineside telegraph poles but with hindsight look closely at the steam locomotive at the back!
