I returned from lunch hoping to see the 14:00 train from Shackerstone as it approached Shenton. I saw the train but had insufficient time to remove a camera from the case. I had no complaints of late running on the outward journey but the same cannot be said for the return. Eventually C.R. 0-4-4T No.419 was seen when it eased slowly away from Shenton with the delayed 14:35 departure to Shackerstone on Sunday 3rd July 2022.
