To be quite honest I had forgotten completely about "The Staycation Express" on Saturday 24th July 2021 until I was informed that I had just missed it when I arrived at the Otterburn road bridge to see FLYING SCOTSMAN. The opportunity presented itself an hour or so later when it passed through Settle Junction on its way to Carlisle. I was impressed with the appearance of the set and hope the programme of trains is a success for the promoter, Rail Charter Services Ltd.
