Frankly it was touch and go whether I went to the GCR for ECML1 or not. The weather forecast was diabolical, I had some shopping to do first thing in the fog, my car wouldn't start and needed extra charge in the battery and one of the cameras was rather temperamental. In the end I decided not to be a big softie and brave the cold for the afternoon. I'm glad I did. I enjoyed the afternoon and now, with hindsight, the afternoon photographs on Saturday were marginally better than those on Sunday. Now that I have written the captions for this gallery I have noticed all are in vertical format. Perhaps I should use the title: 'Portraits of the East Coast Main Line'.
