When I had returned from Bristol on Saturday 5th March 2022 I found the bridges at Norton and Abbotswood packed to capacity with people waiting to see FLYING SCOTSMAN. I settled for a view of the line from a minor road just south of Abbotswood Junction. A nine vehicle Cross Country multiple unit with 220 017 leading on 1V60, the16:12 from Birmingham New Street to Plymouth, provided this good test exposure which made me choose a wider angle lens for the steam to show more of the train.
