I was trying to keep myself entertained while waiting the 50 min between the 12:00 and 12:50 Loughborough departures when I heard a rumble in the cutting behind. What passed was a three car Metro-Cammell DMU in blue livery. The colour seemed a darker shade of blue and I was of the opinion it was not the usual blue DMU. Unfortunately, I did not see it again. As per timetable, the first train to pass Rushey Lane after one o’clock was BR Sulzer Type 4 1Co-Co1 diesel electric D123 hauling the 12:45 from Leicester North to Loughborough.
