On Sunday 16th January it appeared that the up Scotch Goods was diverted south of York onto the former Great Central route due to engineering work on the East Coast Main Line. The train was observed passing Rushey Fields Farm, south of Loughborough, hauled by 51A, Darlington, allocated Peppercorn A1 Class 8P 4-6-2 60163 TORNADO. Pure fantasy but it could easily have occurred had the year been say 1962 and the roller bearing A1 say York's 60153 FLAMBOYANT.
