To misquote Dickens "It was the best of timing, it was the worst of timing, . . . , it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, . . . ". At just after 4 pm on Sunday 16th January 2022 both the 15:35 DMU from Leicester North and the double headed 15:55 from Loughborough were converging near the old Woodthorpe Lane bridge. In a hectic minute I was to take five photographs on two manual cameras in decidedly tricky light; quite bright to the south and decidedly dull to the north. I did not intend to take this view of M50203 & Co. but released the shutter in a state of excitement.
