My zoom ran out with this image of the 12:30 from Shenton to Shackerstone on Saturday 23rd July 2022. A close look revealed some dark smoke in the exhaust and after the train had passed under the bridge on which I was standing the driver closed the regulator to allow black smoke to fall from the chimney. Did he keep steam on just for me? I very much doubt it but it is a nice thought.
