This photograph was my 2023 attempt to recreate the style I used for decades in my first shot of the day on the GCR at Woodthorpe. Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 48305 was pictured as it climbed away from Loughborough with the 10:20 departure to Leicester North on Sunday 5th February. Unfortunately I failed to find the shutter release on the other camera that was set for the slightly wider view. I shall try again!
