“The Royal Charter” on Friday 3rd June 2022 caught me unawares when it approached Atherstone almost ten minutes early. I had this location to myself and planned to use two cameras with the main shot to be in the distance where the line-side vegetation did not intrude too much on the track. I had just taken a wedge from the car when I looked up and the train was passing my chosen position. This was the only photograph I could obtain of 70000 BRITANNIA as it approached the water stop.
