My visit to Shackerstone Station on Friday 30th December 2022 was supposed to be of short duration as I intended to ascertain the direction 7822 FOXCOTE MANOR was facing and to check which timetable the railway would be using and the dates when steam would be in operation. Normally this information would be available on the website but there was some conflict between different pages. As it turned out I paid my £1.00 for a platform ticket and ended up with fifteen exposures on my camera. All very pleasant and I knew what to expect when there was a suitable fine day early in the new year. This short trip proved to be my swan-song for 2022 as the weather forecast for New Years Eve was very poor and so it turned out.
