Before I departed, I could not resist a final photograph of this pantograph fitted four wheeled electric shunting locomotive. It would presumably be classified as a 0-2-2-0 in the Whyte system or a Bo since the wheels are apparently uncoupled. The axle boxes reveal the maker to be ENGLISH ELECTRIC, PRESTON and the chassis side frame is a BRITISH STEEL product produced by the LANCASHIRE STEEL CORPN LTD. The girder was, I expect, 12″ x 3½″ HS. Why it was fitted up-side-down I have no idea?
