The procedure for turning steam hauled railtours at Stratford is quite complicated and relies totally on the support of a diesel locomotive attached at the opposite end of the train to the steam engine. The only stage when the steam engine ran chimney first was between Hatton and Dorridge. In this view 44932 was pulling hard past Shrewley with “The Stratford Flyer” stock on Saturday 1st April 2023.
