Originally I had no intention of going to see "The Northern Belle" on Friday 30th July 2021 but a family commitment on Sunday and cancellation of Saturday's train together with 60163 replacing 6201 led to a complete change of mind. Although the weather forecast was definitely against travel I decided to go and take the risk. For once I made the right decision. It was just about fine on Shap, at Long Preston and Hellifield and not too bad at Cumwhinton despite a significant flood at the bottom of the hill beyond the station.
