"The Cumbrian Mountain Express" on Saturday 8th August was only the second run of this train that I have travelled north to see in 2020. Conditions were predicted perfect and the chosen motive power met fully with my criterion for such a trip. What could be better than a fully loaded Royal Scot in the northern fells in bright summer sunshine? OK, you can't expect visible exhaust!
