I cannot believe that SCOTS GUARDSMAN left Carnforth with dirty rods and nameplate in the morning of 8th August 2020. I noticed that steam was blowing from the piston rod gland on the RH cylinder and this has left a deposit of oily emulsion down the side of the engine. It looks unsightly but will wipe away quite easily.
