Our visit to The Battlefield Line on Easter Monday 18th April 2022 was purely to photograph the current visiting engine; Caledonian Railway 0-4-4T No.419. 419 was built at St Rollox in 1907 to J.F. McIntosh’s standard passenger tank design. Classified by BR as 2P, there has been no problem hauling five Mk Is over the undulating line between Shackerstone and Shenton in 2022.
