On Saturday 11th January 2020 the 14:00 up diesel service from Loughborough crossed the 13:35 down steam hauled train from Leicester North in the cutting between the Woodthorpe Lane and the A6 Leicester Road bridges. The DMU comprised DMCL E50266 and DMBS M50203 and the steam locomotive was Class 2 2-6-0 78018.
