With no obvious reason Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 48624 was almost twenty minutes late with the scheduled 15:30 from Loughborough to Leicester North on Saturday 22nd June 2019. It then set two lineside fires in the short interval between the old Woodthorpe Lane bridge and the new bye-pass bridge. How they were extinguished shall remain undisclosed!
