Saturday 5th June 2021 was a fine, dry and sunny day in Leicestershire. I spent the morning at the GCR to photograph the trains running in "The First Hurrah" event in 2021. Early running involved a series of late departures which I thought due to the high temperatures causing issues with signalling. As the morning progressed timekeeping improved so that by the time I left about 12:30 the schedule was almost restored. I hope it was a success for the company. I shall return tomorrow but the weather forecast is not so good. Cloud is workable but rain always causes problems.
