Birmingham RC&W Type3 Bo-Bo diesel electric D6535 hauled the 15:15 train from Loughborough to Leicester North on Monday 29th August 2022. These useful locomotives were always known as ‘Cromptons’ after the makers of their traction motors, Crompton-Parkinson Ltd.
