The first train left Loughborough almost on time and I waited by the A6 road bridge to see which locomotive was hauling the train. It was BR Standard Class 2MT 2-6-0 78019 running tender first with the 10:00 departure to Leicester North. That meant an early lunch and an early return home provided the other steam locomotive faced south.
